Beaches
The Ligurian sea and the beaches are
very clean and well maintained. At almost every beach you can find deck
chairs and umbrellas, you can either rent them but you do not have to.
Often you will find a free section where you can just lay in the sand.
The most beautiful beach is called "Spiaggia D'Oro" and is located in
Imperia in the district of Porto Maurizio but in the high season it is
quite crowded.

Other recommended beaches: Arma di Taggia, Santo Stefano al Mare, both are in the direction of Sanremo. Diano Marina (in the direction of Genua) is especially recommended for those who need a little more hype and for families travelling with teenagers. Diano Marina offers a lot of entertainment, you may well go shopping and go out at night. Beautiful clean sandy beaches.
Hiking
From Prelá Castello or Vasia you
can start wonderful short hiking tours (the guidebooks and maps are
available in the apartment). Experienced hikers could make trips to
the Monte Faudo and Monte Foligia (about 6 hours walking time) or a
trip to France (nearby) to the Mercantour National Park (about 1, 5
hour drive) where you can climb up to 3000m, to admire the sea, the
alps and the famous ancient rock drawings.
Cycling
Liguria is a paradise for cyclists, for both mountain bikers and
racing cyclists. If you are an avid mountain biker, I could
send you on request a selection of mountain bike tours.

At the moment the old railway route directly along the sea is developed as a cycle track, the route San Lorenzo - San Remo is already completed.
In the pedestrian zone of San Lorenzo, you can rent bikes of all kind. A great track, even for children possible.
There is an e-mountain bike rental in the village of
Pantasine, 12 km from Imperia. If you like, you can book
guided tours of various degrees of difficulty with
experienced guides.

The service is particularly interesting for all those
who have their accommodation in the villages of Vasia,
Pantasina or Prela Castello.

Art and culture
The area is
particularly nice for those who are interested in
culture and art as well as for nature lovers. The lively
activity of the fashionable places on the coast (Alasssio,
Ospedaletti, San Remo) contrasts with the medieval
villages in the backup area which will enchant you with
their stories: F.ex. the witch village Triora, the
mystical Ceriana or the village Busana Vecchia with its
ruins.
For art lovers, it is a must to visit
Genoa with its palaces and the old town under UNESCO
protection.
