The house Cá du Murteu is situated in the small, typical Ligurian village Diano San Pietro in the district of Moltedo in the hinterland of the famous bathing resort Diano Marina.
It is a detached house which has been recently modernized with much effort. It is bright and spacious. You will find plenty of space on two floors and retreat possibilities.
When you enter the house you will directly come to a very spacious living room, which is equipped with two sofas (one can be used as a sofa bed), a small coffee table, bookshelves, a TV and a fireplace. The living area adjoins a dining area with a large dining table with plenty of place for everybody. The open kitchen provides a gas stove, microwave, coffee machine and fridge freezer.
Furthermore, you will find on this floor a cozy shower room and an utility room with washing machine. From the living room a confortable staircase takes you to the first floor. The passageway room you can use as extra sleeping place. Here you will find a folding bed, which provides two sleeping places.
On this floor there are also situated the other bedrooms and a second bathroom with a bathtub. There is one bedroom with a double bed and two bedrooms with a bunk bed. All these rooms are separated from each other and accessible from a hallway.
From this level a door leads to a glazed veranda as well as to the small garden. Here you will find a separate covered outdoor kitchen where you can easily grill or cook. The house is built directly at the street on the opposite side you will find a parking place as well as a garage.
During the winter, the gas heating provides cozy warmth and the wooden chimney ensures additionally cozy atmosphere. You can spend at Cà du Murteu a wonderful Christmas or New Year's Eve with a group of friends. This is why the first tourists spent their holidays on the Riviera in the winter and not in summer time. The mild climate, lush vegetation and low rainfall let you soonly forget the cold period in northern Europe.
The house has electricity, water, sewage and satellite TV. All pipes have already been renewed. The gas heating is supplied from the in-house gas tank which is located in the garden. There is a well-running wood fireplace in the living room.

Diano San Pietro is a typical Ligurian village, surrounded by olive groves with an open view to the sea. In the village there are several restaurants and shops. A simple trattoria and a well sorted village shop is located a few steps away from the house. Just in front of the door there is a bus stop, from here you can take the bus to the beach at several times per day, if you prefer to leave your car in the garage at home. Directly from the house you can start hiking tours or even to explore the Riviera by car. The famous places like Cervo, Bordighera and Sanremo are only a few kilometers away. Monaco and Nice are at only an hour. To Genoa, European City of Culture, it is worthwhile and more relaxing to go by train. The trains are very cheap in Italy and you will also avoid to look for a parking place.
Diano San Pietro is located in the hinterland of Diano Marina, which is in the summer months a very busy but charming bathing resort. Here you will find many restaurants, bars and shops. It is a nice place to go out in the evening. Young people and those young at heart will find several clubs and discos.
The sandy beaches are well tended and you will find beside the private ones also public beaches. From Diano Marina in direction to Imperia you will find many small rocky bays with pebble beaches where you can go swimming, also with dogs, or you can explore the still intact underwater world while snorkeling.
