The antique house is located in the small village of Torre Paponi, above the church. It is an absolute rarity: a detached house with garden in a Ligurian village. It is very rare to find something like this, because most of the time the houses nestle close to each other due to the defensive character of the villages. The house is the last one on the upper edge of Torre Paponi, above it there are only olive groves with large, centuries-old trees.
The house, built in natural stone, has two levels. In the first one there is a cozy living room, which leads into a study. There is also a kitchen and a bathroom with shower. A spiral staircase leads to the lower part of the house, where you find two children's rooms and a spacious bedroom with a vaulted ceiling. All rooms have windows, and from the bedroom you can go directly to the garden. In addition, there is a storage room and a shed-like cottage in the garden.
The garden is bordered with trees and is sunny.
The last few meters to the house you have to walk, unless you have a scooter or a motorcycle. With these you can drive up to the house. To transport the furniture or building materials you use a dirt road behind the house.
The house is equipped with electricity, water and sewage pipes. It is heated with a pellet heating system. The roof and windows have been renewed. The facade is plastered from two sides, towards the church there is still a beautiful natural stone facade. There is satellite TV and WiFi.
The property can be immediately occupied and lived in.
Just 5 km behind the popular bathing resort San Lorenzo al Mare you will find the village of Torre Paponi. Here, time seems to stand still in the middle age, the narrow streets and typical Ligurian "caruggi" enchant. It is worthwhile to visit the beautiful Baroque church, dedicated to Saints Cosma and Damiano, and the oratory of Mary of the Annunciation.
In Torre Paponi or Boscomare many walking paths lead by, such as:
From Boscomare, start / destination: From the oil mill Pantai to Vallun as Briga (Time: 3 hours)
Torre Paponi, start / destination: Torre Paponi to Torre Paponi (Time: 3 hours)
Along this wandering one hits on lavender fields, the chapel of St. Bartholomew and traverses the wood in which the chapel of the ordeal is located.
Start / destination: From Pietrabruna to the mountain Follia (Time: 4 hours)
This hike is very interesting and leads to Monte Follia, on which you can still see the remains of a Celtic oppidum.
In Torre Paponi you find a very good and famous restaurant "La Pignatta d'Oro", however, there quality has to be paid: www.lapignattadoro.com
Just 5 km in direction to the hinterland, the mountain village Pietrabruna is situated on a slope with an open sea view. The place looks back on a long history, originating in the 12th century. In the center, the medieval structures are still easily to recognize. You can get lost very quickly in the labyrinth of narrow streets, stairways and roofed passages.
Previously Pietrabruna was known not only for olive cultivation, but especially for its lavender fields and the production of lavender essence. Unfortunately, there are only a few lavender farmers left. The other, also outside the village well known product is the "Stroscia Bruna di Pietra". A very special cake which is made in the local bakery and sold in the shop next to. Must try!
In Pietrabruna there are two restaurants, particularly "Au Torciu" in the middle of the old village is to be recommended. Very good food at a fair price.
The nearest beach of San Lorenzo al Mare has beautiful beaches which are free of charge. Even if you do not have to pay any entrance fee, deck chairs can be rented, but you do not have to.
The small old town, which ends at a palm-lined promenade, has some good restaurants, bars, shops and very good ice cream parlors, small but nice. From our experience we can say that you can even easily find in San Lorenzo a car park even in August. From here, the "Pistaciclabile" - Europe's longest cycle – was recently built and leads on the old railway line along the beach to far behind Sanremo. You can easily rent bikes in San Lorenzo, the distance is completely car free and easy to ride for children. www.pistaciclabile.com
